Whether you’re into spoken word, poetry, or just curious about creative writing — join us on Friday, June 6th from 7 PM to 9 PM at Kunstlinie Almere for an evening of reflection, imagination, and expression.
This event is part of RE:FWD, an exhibition featuring 21 incredible artists exploring the themes of hope and possible futures — all while looking into the past to find strength and resilience. It’s about storytelling through art — and now, through your words.
Guided by renowned spoken word artist Jörgen Gario, we’ll walk through the exhibition, let the artworks speak to us, and respond through writing. If you feel the spark, you’ll even have the chance to share your piece out loud in a warm and welcoming space.

What does hope look like in a broken world? And how can art help us imagine a future that is hopeful, yet realistic? The group exhibition RE:FWD: A Reply to the Present, A Forward to Us All brings together hopeful future perspectives from 21 young artists, curated by Caithlin Chong, Mees van Zanten en Thierno Deme. On show up to and including July 6, 2025.
