Our way of Life - ”What if I am my own Flood?”
Our way of Life - ”What if I am my own Flood?”

Bruno van den Elshout (1979)

The essence of the Flood - more than being simply the phenomenon of a huge deluge - is that it is both an ultimate threat and an ultimate promise. When I relate this to my own existence, I am myself my ultimate threat and also my ultimate promise. What if I am my own Flood?

In life you walk a narrow road and it is important that you navigate it as carefully as possible. Each next moment comes with a new threat and a new promise. Every day I ask myself how to deal with small as well as big issues. My work for The Flood Revisited invites viewers to follow my train of thought. What if you are your own Flood?
